Time

Just finished a 10-hour drive from Gnarlsbad yesterday. It was long, and just hurt my body. I think that when I compare this trip to others, this seemed to go by the fastest. I think it was because I was with Erica the whole trip. Just the two of us, and we basically talked the whole way to Provo. It was an enjoyable trip indeed. We talked, and then, talked some more. Set guidelines and threw out ideas to each other. We just need time. Time to see where things will go. Time to see how compatible we really are with each other. Time.
We all need time. We feel like were running out of it, and never have enough of it, yet it seems to stand still in other moments.
What is enough time? Do we gather our thoughts and try to understand the meaning of why there is time, and why we live and die by it.
A realization that we, as humans, measure our life by time leads to an important point, time is precious. But why? Why couldn't we live our lives by moments, or celebrations? Why is it that time transcends all borders and peoples? Customs and cultures? Oceans and deserts?
To God, time does not exist. He is the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end. God gives us time. I feel that he does it for a reason. In the end, time is used to help us realize that death is imminent, that there is no escape of it. To each individual human being, death is the end. For some, time stops at death. In a sense, that is right, because, once we are dead and go beyond to any afterlife (no matter what denomination or personal belief you have), we are there...forever. And forever is time which is infinite. If we come to the realization that we are infinite after death, why measure time?
So as we live this life, let us try to strive to 'find time' and 'make time' for those that need help. Isn't that what we, as humans, are formed to do? To help your neighbor out, to lift those in need of comfort, to live by a code of honesty and ethics? Yes, it is.
As the Mormon commercials aired across America, many came to the realization that family plays THE most important role in our lives. Often, in their commercials, a family will be playing games or enjoying each others company, encouraging us to do the same. And after every commercial they leave the viewer with a message that strikes straight to the heart, and which I believe, is probably one of the most important messages we can live by today.
"Family...isn't it about time?".
